We spent three nights in this lovely historic hotel where we enjoyed stunning views of the surrounding hillside from the terrace, one of the most comfortable beds in all of Italy, and a breakfast lovingly prepared with ingredients either grown/produced by Eva-Maria and Axel or locally sourced, including baked goods, eggs, yogurt, meat, cheese, pear juice, coffee and more. The B&B made a great home base for us to explore the Marche region, including Urbino, Fano and Senigallia. We had no problem parking next to the hotel throughout our stay. Highly recommend.

If you want to experience genuine, meaningful Italian hospitality and human interaction you must come to Villa Cartoceto. Axel and Eva-Maria are excellent hosts and fantastic human beings. They will make you fall in love with the Cartoceto area and the region of Marche as a whole.
The room they prepared for our stay was warm, cozy and charming reflecting the traditional ambience and style of an humble Italian country home but at the same time the comfort and quality of a top notch bed and a large shower.
Breakfasts were fantastic with homemade breads, jams and juice, local eggs, yogurt, cured meats and cheeses and a delicious personal attention.
The hosts know the area very well and gave us great suggestions on nearby activities and restaurants.

Gastheer Axel ontmoet in juni dit jaar op het Italian Event in Nederland. Tijdens onze vakantie in Umbrië een uitstapje gemaakt naar Marche en verbleven in de B&B Villa Cartoceto van Axel en Eva-Maria. We waren aangenaam verrast door de prachtige locatie, mooie en zeer schone kamer, goed bed, heerlijk en zeer uitgebreid ontbijt met locale producten en niet te vergeten de gastvrijheid van Axel en Eva-Maria voor ons en onze hond Shadow! Wij bevelen B&B Villa Cartoceto zeker aan en komen graag nog een keer terug!

die villa cartoceto ist ein ort an dem man sich zuause fühlt. das liegt nicht nur an axel und eva-maria, die wunderbare gastgeber sind, sondern auch daran, dass man sofort versteht, wie einfach schön das leben sein kann. 3 entzückend individuelle zimmer, ein wohnsalon und eine spektakuläre terrasse mit blick in die weite der von olivenhainen geprägten landschaft bilden den rahmen für ein kleines stück glückseligkeit. und das beste restaurant der umgebung ist nur wenige schritte entfernt.

Wir haben 5 wundervolle Tage bei Eva-Maria und Axel in der Villa Cartoceto verbracht. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und gepflegt, die Betten komfortabel und das Frühstück super lecker. Der Strand ist nur 20 Minuten Fahrt entfernt.
Tip: unbedingt das Restaurant Osteria del Cardinale auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite ausprobieren

Tipp: traumhaft schön ist es abends ebenfalls in der Osteria del Cardinale direkt vor der Haustür.

In der Villa Cartoceto von Eva-Maria und Axel unterzukommen ist eine Art, Urlaub zu genießen, wie man sie nicht häufig erleben darf. Hier passt einfach alles: Der pitoreske Ort Cartoceto, die Ausstattung der Zimmer, der Service, die Freundlichkeit der Betreiber, die wunderbaren Haushunde, die Lage mit spektakulärer Dachterrasse ... Es fühlt sich nie wie ein Aufenthalt in einer gebuchten Unterkunft an, sondern so, als sei man auf Besuch bei lieben Freunden, die alles tun, damit man sich bei ihnen wohlfühlt. Das "Styling" der Zimmer ist authentisch und unaufgeregt, alles sehr hochwertig, mit alten Möbeln, die Charakter haben und eine gediegene Atmosphäre ausstrahlen. Auf unnötigen Schnickschnack wird gänzlich verzichtet, denn schließlich soll man hier das marchigianische Land genießen und nicht das dröge TV-Programm von daheim. Was anderswo als letzter Schrei gilt, wird in der Villa seit zwei Jahrzehnten konsequent, aber ganz unaufgeregt praktiziert: Alles, was man hier auf der traumhaften Sonnenterrasse oder zum Frühstück kredenzt bekommt, ist aus regionaler Produktion, alle Produkte sind saisonal und von außergewöhnlicher Qualität. Die Kombination aus familiärer Atmosphäre, hoher Qualität in allen Belangen und ganz viel Luxus, ohne jemals das Gefühl zu haben, von Luxus umgeben zu sein, ist das Geheimnis dieses wunderschönen BnB, das wir seit vielen, vielen Jahren immer wieder gerne besuchen.
